Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio have held a telephone conversation.

Azerbaijan-US Strategic Partnership and Normalization Process
During the telephone conversation, the sides reviewed the current state and development prospects of bilateral strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as issues regarding the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.
Both sides highlighted the significant progress achieved in developing the bilateral strategic partnership following the historic summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025.
In this context, the parties emphasized the importance of the activities of working groups across priority areas defined in the Strategic Partnership Charter between Azerbaijan and the United States for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
Tangible Cooperation Outcomes and Regional Stability
During the call, the key milestones achieved in 2026 within the Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership were noted. It was underlined that agreements signed during Baku Energy Week and the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum across energy, exploration, development, and production of hydrocarbon resources, investment, digital technologies, trade, and other fields have substantially broadened the practical scope of bilateral cooperation.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his counterpart on the consistent steps taken by Azerbaijan toward advancing the peace agenda, confidence building, and strengthening regional stability.
The conversation also concluded with an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
