President Donald Trump confirmed that the United States military carried out minor strikes on Friday, destroying an Iranian anti-aircraft installation within five to fifteen minutes. Speaking to reporters in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump described the operation as minor after Iranian state media reported two missiles struck Qeshm Island near the Strait of Hormuz.

"We do minor strikes, but they knock out," Trump said. "They built a little bit of an anti-aircraft device, and we knocked it out in about 15 minutes, maybe five."

The action follows earlier defensive strikes on Monday, when American forces conducted a defensive strike in the Strait of Hormuz against surface-to-air missile systems near Qeshm, Hengam Island, and Bandar Abbas. Trump declined to address Qeshm Island directly when asked about the location, and Iranian state media provided no official figures on local damage or casualties in the Suza district.

Velos Tankers reported that an explosion caused by a suspected missile hit killed one crew member aboard the Marshall Islands-flagged MT Velos Sapphire en route to Bahrain, while the Iranian military claimed an unidentified vessel struck a naval mine east of the strait.
