President Donald Trump says the US will not strike Iran before November's midterm elections, as Axios reports the Pentagon was told to finish preparations to resume operations in Iran.

US President Donald Trump has said the United States will not attack Iran before November’s midterm elections, as long as Iran remains in a “critical situation” and oil keeps flowing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Miraz.TV reports, citing foreign media, that Trump announced this on his Truth social network.

According to the American leader, Washington is conducting a “productive dialogue” with Tehran.

The US president said last night that 22 million barrels of oil passed through the strait and that not a single barrel of it went to Iran.

Pentagon told the US military to finish preparations to resume operations in Iran

Axios reports that a few days ago the Pentagon instructed the US military to complete preparations for resuming military operations in Iran.

The publication’s sources in the US and Israel say the attacks could resume before the US midterm elections on November 3, or even before the Israeli elections on October 27. They also noted that Trump has not yet made a final decision.
