US authorities have expelled two Iranian diplomats who participated as part of the Iranian delegation in the UN General Assembly’s general debate, according to an Axios report.

A US official confirmed the expulsion to Axios, stating: “Two more members of the Iranian delegation were found in New York long after the conclusion of the General Assembly [general debate]. They have now been removed from the country.”

Diplomats Departed Following Post-UNGA Detection

The report notes that the diplomats departed the United States on Saturday. The US State Department has not yet responded to a request from TASS to confirm the development.

According to the outlet’s assessment, this situation highlights that ongoing conflict-resolution efforts remain stalled, while the likelihood of continued military actions increases.
