With the introduction of the all-electric OPTIQ, we’re honoring that iconic legacy while driving into a transformative future,” Rogers said. He added it reflects a dedication “to inspiring and celebrating the achievements of our independent sales force for generations to come.

Details of the Mary Kay Electric Cadillac Program

The Mary Kay sales incentive program awards the vehicle to the top 1% of its independent sales force. Qualified representatives lease the car for two years as a symbol of their achievement, empowerment, and recognition.

Recipients have the option to choose a $900 monthly bonus instead of the vehicle. However, approximately 90% of those who qualify for the pink pearl Cadillac choose to take the car.

From Legacy to Electric Empowerment

The program’s legacy began nearly 60 years ago when founder Mary Kay Ash was told she could not buy a car without a man’s signature. The iconic pink Cadillac subsequently became a powerful symbol of female entrepreneurship and success.

After the two-year lease ends, the cars are returned and repainted to their original factory color. This practice makes a true pink Cadillac a rare sight outside of Mary Kay circles.
