The Tom Cruise-led feature film “Digger” grossed just $20 million worldwide in its opening weekend, marking one of the weakest box office debuts in the Hollywood star’s career.

Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu and released by Warner Bros., the film collected $8 million in North America and $12 million across international markets.

Massive Production Costs and Mixed Reviews

The production budget for the movie reportedly reached at least $125 million, with an additional $100 million spent on global marketing and promotional efforts.

The sluggish box office performance of “Digger” comes alongside mixed to negative reviews from critics and audiences alike.
