European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has stated that the energy crisis has cost the European Union €106 billion.
Von der Leyen noted that these costs accumulated since the onset of the war by the US and Israel against Iran, Miraz.TV reports.
Industrial Output and Declining Gas Reserves
Reports indicate that reduced production in energy-intensive European industries has also led to a decline in energy imports. However, von der Leyen did not address this aspect in her statement.
Furthermore, according to European Commission data, gas storage levels in mid-October were 10 percent lower compared to the corresponding period last year.
