Google launched a new feature on August 12 allowing users to customize their search results with Google preferred sources, which tailors the Top Stories section with handpicked news outlets.

The new feature enables users to customize Google Top Stories to include outlets they have selected. In addition to Top Stories, content from chosen sites may also be featured in a dedicated Google from your sources section.

When you select your preferred sources, you’ll start to see more of their articles prominently displayed within Top Stories, when those sources have published fresh and relevant content for your search,” Google stated. This change is designed to create more personalized search results for users.
