The Indiana Fever advanced in the WNBA playoffs for the first time since 2015, defeating the Atlanta Dream 87-85 in Game 3 on a last-second basket by Aliyah Boston.
Aliyah Boston scored the go-ahead basket with just 7.4 seconds remaining. Teammate Lexie Hull then secured the victory by stealing the subsequent inbound play from the Dream.
Boston and Hull Secure Dramatic Win
The Fever closed the decisive Indiana Fever Atlanta Dream Game 3 on a 7-0 run to earn their first playoff series win in a decade. Before Boston’s shot, Indiana’s last lead was 33-30 in the second quarter.
Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 24 points for the Fever. The Aliyah Boston game winner was part of a double-double performance that included 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Odyssey Sims added 16 points.
Navigating the Indiana Fever Playoffs Without Clark
The team accomplished the Fever win without Caitlin Clark, who was sidelined for the remainder of the season. Clark, a preseason MVP favorite, played in just 13 games this year before a groin injury ended her 2025 season.
In her limited time, Clark averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and five rebounds over 31.1 minutes per game. Her second year in the WNBA was also hampered by an earlier quad strain.
Indiana Fever vs Las Vegas Aces Up Next
As the sixth seed, the Indiana Fever will now face the No. 2 seed Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA semifinals. The series is set to begin on Sunday.
The Aces present a formidable challenge for the Fever. Las Vegas has appeared in three of the last five WNBA Finals.
