Florida State linebacker Ethan Pritchard is in stable condition following an Ethan Pritchard shooting in Havana, Florida. The freshman was shot in the back of the head while driving after the team’s win over Alabama.

Father Details the Ethan Pritchard Shooting

Earl Pritchard, the Earl Pritchard son‘s father, stated the incident occurred while his son was driving his aunt from a family gathering.

He was actually in the car taking my sister around the corner to her daughter’s house to drop her off,” Earl Pritchard said.

He explained the attack happened without warning. “They turned the corner, and as soon as they turned the corner, they heard gunshots,” Pritchard stated.

Condition of Florida State Linebacker Shot

The freshman football player was struck in the back of the head and is being treated at a hospital in Tallahassee, where he remains in stable condition.

Officials are conducting a Tallahassee shooting investigation to determine what happened to Ethan Pritchard.

Pritchard’s Promising Football Career

Before joining the Seminoles, Pritchard was a highly-regarded four-star recruit from Seminole High School. He was ranked as the No. 39 linebacker nationally and the No. 64 player out of Florida.

As a high school senior, he recorded 39 tackles and seven tackles for loss in nine games. He committed to Florida State in October 2023, choosing the Seminoles over Miami, Florida, and UCF.
