Following the Charlie Kirk assassination, President Donald Trump eulogized the conservative activist at a memorial service in Arizona, calling him a “martyr for American freedom” who helped him win the election.

President Trump Responds to Charlie Kirk Assassination

Trump praised the 31-year-old as a “missionary with a noble spirit” who played a decisive role in his 2024 election victory. “I know I speak for everyone here today when I say that none of us will ever forget Charlie Kirk, and neither will history,” Trump added.

The president also announced he will honor Kirk at the White House posthumously. The Trump administration will present Kirk’s family with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his contributions.

Following her husband’s death, Erika Kirk takes over TPUSA, vowing to carry on his movement. She will assume the dual roles of CEO and chair of the board for the organization.

The organization has seen a surge in support, receiving over 62,000 requests to establish new campus chapters since Kirk’s death. Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” said he has “personally received hundreds of offers to work” for TPUSA.

Kolvet confirmed that Kirk’s popular show will continue, vowing to carry on his mission. “For all the fans of ‘The Charlie Kirk Show,’ we will see you Monday,” Kolvet stated, adding, “Until then, buckle up — here we go.

A Defining Voice for Young Conservatives

Kirk, a native of suburban Illinois, co-founded TPUSA at 18 after dropping out of community college. By his mid-20s, he was the youngest speaker at the 2016 Republican National Convention, and by 31, he commanded a $95 million political empire.

Kirk was assassinated by a single shot on Sept. 10 during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University. The gathering was the first stop on the organization’s planned “American Comeback Tour.
