US President Donald Trump has created a new federal AI task force to coordinate government initiatives in artificial intelligence. Miraz.TV reports, citing the Associated Press, that the initiative, designated the “Super Intelligence Force,” will be chaired by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton.

Key Objectives and Strategic Focus

The primary mission of the newly formed body is to coordinate federal government efforts to maintain American global leadership in artificial intelligence. Alongside leveraging the technology’s capabilities, the task force will evaluate potential systemic and security risks.

Leadership, Membership, and Reporting

The high-level panel also includes Federal Trade Commission Chairman Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon technology official Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor.

The group will collaborate with consumers, civil society organizations, critical infrastructure operators, and artificial intelligence companies. The task force will report directly to President Trump and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
