The Hadden Kelly death in Georgia has left a community in mourning after the 17-year-old high school golfer suddenly collapsed and died Monday during homecoming activities.

Hadden Kelly, a junior at Dodge County High School, was participating in homecoming events at a residence when he collapsed in a yard with a friend. He was found unresponsive at the scene.

Dodge County Coroner Joe Smith confirmed that Kelly was pronounced dead at the location. The sudden death of the Georgia high school golfer has shocked the local community.

Community Mourns Beloved Teammate and Friend

Kelly was the top-performing golfer and leader on the Dodge County High School golf team. “Hadden was an outgoing kid, and he never met a stranger,” said Smith, who is also Kelly’s great-nephew.

In a statement, Coach Paula Selph and the golf team remembered his selfless character. “He ALWAYS stayed till each team member finished… He stayed to support his team.

He wanted the team to succeed!”

Smith also noted Kelly’s dedication to the sport he loved. “He played every day, and I believe if that were something he wanted to do, he would have gone pro because he was that good.”

Investigation into Hadden Kelly Death Continues

The Dodge County High School student death is currently under investigation. To determine why he died, Kelly’s body was sent for an official autopsy.

An official Hadden Kelly cause of death has not yet been determined or released to the public. The results of the examination are pending.

Dodge County High School issued a statement expressing its grief. “There are no words to express the sadness that our DCHS family feels for the loss of junior Hadden Kelly. Please join us in prayer for his family, friends, and our DCHS Family.”
