With deep sorrow and grief we announce that Ismät Mustafa qızı Kaşiyeva (August 26, 1935 – August 17, 2025), the mother of the respected public figure Minevver Vahabova — who lived in the United States and for many years led activities within the Azerbaijani diaspora — passed away on August 17, 2025, in New Jersey after a prolonged illness.

Mrs. Ismät devoted her life to hard work, her family, and caring for her children, and was known for her nobility and endurance. Her roots were connected to the historic cradle of Azerbaijani culture — the city of Şəki.

Ismät mother was not only the pillar of her family — she was also a mother who raised a heroic child of the Azerbaijani people. As the mother of Kəşiyev Nəsib Nadir oğlu, who was martyred in the First Karabakh War, she bore this heavy sorrow with courage and patience.

Her children dedicated their lives to the struggle for the Motherland and to the preservation of our national identity.

Everyone who knew and loved her will remember Ismät mother for her diligence, compassion, and endurance.

May Allah have mercy on her!

May her place be Paradise, and may her soul be joyful.
